--->Service all electric devices regularly . consider changing anything that's more than ten years old. you will save  a lot on electricity bills

--->choose HFC-free refrigirators ,HFC's are greenhouse gasses and a big factor in causing climate change
---->Upgrading your desktop? choose a laptop ,they consume much less electricity .Avoid toxic substances like PVC and BFRs in products.Look for brands that take back and recycle products safely
--->switch to compact fluorescent lamps (CFL) and see your electricity bill go dopwn Light Emitting Diodes (LED) arrays are better
---->To prolong the life of your cellphone  battery ,charge it when it is completely discharged
---->Always load your washing machine to full capacity .Let sunlight and air dry your cloths free
---->Don't keep your refrigerator too cold .3-5deg'c  for the fresh food section and around -15deg'c for the freezer are identical temperatures .Defrost your fridge regularly
---->Switch off lights and fans when you're not in the room
---->Buy locally and organically produced fresh food as far as possible
